Demon Slayer Chapter 102 finds a small boy, Kotetsu, shouting up at Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, who demands the key to an ancient mechanical doll and strikes the child when refused. The doll, built to mimic a legendary swordsman, is Kotetsu’s only inheritance.

Tanjiro steps between them and takes a blow for interfering, waking later to Kotetsu’s apologies and explanations. The doll, Yoriichi Type Zero, has six arms because its model moved beyond what two could express, and it has trained swordsmen for generations. Muichiro, meanwhile, has already begun using it, and one of its arms lies broken.
