Demon Slayer Manga Chapter 153

Hell, it turns out, keeps a door open for the ones who run toward it willingly. Akaza’s crumbling soul reunites with Koyuki in Demon Slayer Chapter 153, and she embraces him without fear, thanking him for remembering her at last. He apologizes through tears for every year he spent as a demon, for everything he failed to protect.

She takes his hand and leads him down into the flames, choosing to stay with him even there. In the world above, his body finishes dissolving into ash. The demon who begged strong men to live forever chose, in the end, to die as the boy who only ever wanted to protect someone.
