Demon Slayer Manga Chapter 142
Betrayal has a voice, and Zenitsu has to hear it laugh at him. In Demon Slayer Chapter 142, he faces Kaigaku, the senior student who shared his master and now sits smugly as the new Upper Rank Six. Kaigaku sneers at their teacher’s memory, and Zenitsu’s usual tears give way to something colder.
He tells Kaigaku what he never knew: old Jigoro, disgraced by his student’s betrayal, took his own life alone, cutting his belly without anyone to assist him, dying slowly and in pain. Zenitsu’s grief turns to thunder. The coward who once trembled at everything now stands as his master’s true heir.
